Baby, It's Cold Outside

Winter is in full-swing, and over at Tuesday Throwdown, we are celebrating it with a wintery challenge. The theme for the week is "Baby, It's Cold Outside" -- make something featuring ice, snow, etc. Our sponsor this week is Catherine Pooler, Independent Stampin' Up! demo, and she is offering a wonderful prize of one-month's membership to her stamping club, Club Inbox, to one lucky winner!

For my card, I stamped a wintery scene using the "Season of Friendship" stamp set by Stampin' Up! I  added Stickles glitter glue to the branches of the tree, and a bit at the base to resemble sparkly snow. Though we generally think of winter in icy blues and greys, I couldn't help but add a splash of red to brighten things up.

Hope you'll stop by and play along with us today. You don't have to use Stampin' Up! products on your creation, though we'd love to see it if you do. :-)

This is just lovely! love the snowflake background and the beautiful red cardinal in the tree. The Stickles is perfect and adds some depth to the card. Beautiful as always.
